Aiplspitz(1759m) was known to me only with its south and west approaches, which are very easy to climb.
Today I tried the steep north ridge from Geitau.

The route is maintained and indicated reasonably, however, it would be uncomfortable by rain.
On the steep ridge we should apply our both hands instead of the poles.

Aiplspitz from Geitau

We go through the parking at the end of Geitau

After around one hour we reach Geitauer-Alm

For there Wendelstein is very nice to look

The top end of Geitauer-Alm

Now we are on the steep ridge without secure

Very steep!

From the light side we will reach the peak

Comfortable route to Tanzeck

Looking back to sharp peak of Aiplspitz

View on the north ridge from the higher part of Geitauer-Alm. There is only few exposed terrains, however,
we should avoid this route under wet condition.
